Site Security Lead – Coal Mine

About the role

The Site Security Lead will be responsible for safeguarding the safety and security of a coal mining operation. This role combines strategic planning, surveillance automation, intelligence gathering, and stakeholder coordination to protect assets, prevent theft, and maintain law and order on‑site and in surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Implement automated surveillance systems and CCTV for continuous monitoring of the plant area.
• Deploy security automation to control personnel, material, and movement within the mining premises.
• Establish and manage access control protocols for all entry and exit points.
• Enhance surveillance capabilities using advanced security technologies and monitor plant activities for suspicious behavior.
• Extend vigilance to surrounding areas and secure railway lines used for coal transportation.
• Develop contingency plans for railway security threats and ensure uninterrupted coal transport.
• Implement proactive measures to prevent white‑collar crimes and investigate security breaches.
• Maintain effective communication with local authorities, government agencies, and community leaders.
• Coordinate with legal teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and support legal actions related to security incidents.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing security operations in industrial or mining environments.
• Strong understanding of security automation, access control, and surveillance technologies.
• Ability to develop and execute contingency and crisis‑management plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including liaison with authorities and legal teams.
• Knowledge of relevant security regulations and compliance requirements.
