Shift Superintendent – HDPE Production

About the role

The Shift Superintendent will oversee HDPE production during assigned shifts, ensuring that output meets quality, safety, and schedule targets. Working closely with the Plant Head, Production Lead, and QA team, the role guarantees smooth operations and timely raw‑material availability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage shift‑wise production activities according to the plant schedule.
• Ensure raw materials are available, verified by QA, and monitor their consumption.
• Conduct regular plant rounds to supervise equipment, troubleshoot process parameters, and guide operators.
• Prepare shift reports, update batch/log sheets, and communicate status to the Plant Manager.
• Track and report deviations in product quality or process parameters, implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain and update the plant optimizer for optimal operation.
• Enforce safety, fire, and environmental procedures; ensure safety equipment is functional.
• Investigate minor safety incidents, draft action plans, and ensure compliance documentation is up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing shift operations in HDPE or similar polymer manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production planning, raw‑material handling, and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary crew and coordinate inter‑departmental communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OMPRO system for capturing plant process parameters.
• Experience using plant optimizer tools for operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of safety, fire, and environmental compliance in an industrial setting.
