Senior Tax Advisor

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Tax Advisor to lead the preparation and submission of UK and Irish VAT returns, while driving data‑focused tax initiatives across the business. You will manage a small team, collaborate with AP/AR shared services, and partner with Oracle and systems teams to improve tax data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit UK VAT returns and consolidate VAT groups.
• Prepare Irish VAT returns.
• Ensure timely and accurate GL reconciliations.
• Manage three junior team members supporting indirect tax compliance in other jurisdictions.
• Lead data‑improvement projects, working closely with Oracle and other system owners.
• Partner with AP and AR teams to guarantee tax data accuracy and compliance.
• Support the rollout of e‑invoicing as required.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification in Accounting, Finance or Tax.
• In‑depth knowledge of UK indirect tax compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing UK VAT returns and handling complex data sets.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience leading a small team.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with data‑manipulation tools such as Alteryx.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
