Senior Software Test Engineer – Product Test (R&D)

About the role

AVEVA is looking for a self‑driven Senior Software Test Engineer to join its R&D team in Bengaluru. You will design, build and maintain automated test frameworks for cloud‑based industrial software, while also contributing to manual testing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements to create test plans, cases and scripts.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, performance, security and UAT testing.
• Develop and run automated tests using frameworks such as MSTest, NUnit, TestComplete and Playwright.
• Validate APIs, services and database interactions for .NET applications.
• Identify, document and track defects, collaborating closely with developers to resolve them.
• Provide early feedback in the development lifecycle to improve design and reduce defects.
• Work with developers and architects to define service‑level expectations.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent programming skills with a focus on C# and object‑oriented concepts.
• Hands‑on experience in test automation and a solid QA mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of quality outcomes.
• Willingness to learn new domains, tools and methodologies.
