Senior Manager – Merchant Growth & Retention

About the role

We are seeking a high-ownership senior leader to drive growth, retention and recurring revenue for Paytm’s merchant subscription business. The role oversees the full merchant subscription lifecycle, from acquisition quality to renewals, engagement and churn reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Drive merchant onboarding, improve acquisition quality and increase activation-to-paid conversion.
• Boost renewal rates, reduce churn and develop win-back strategies for inactive merchants.
• Own the end-to-end merchant journey, ensure active product usage and coordinate service support.
• Manage Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), improve collections efficiency and monitor subscription funnel metrics.
• Lead field sales and retention teams, track productivity and conduct performance reviews.
• Analyze churn and activation trends, maintain performance dashboards and identify fraud or activation risks.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis, reporting and business analytics at scale.
• Proven track record of managing retention, renewals, collections, pricing or revenue growth initiatives.
• Ownership mindset with measurable business outcomes.

Required skills

• SQL for data extraction and analysis.
