Senior Field Technician – New Installations

About the role

Schindler India is looking for a Senior Field Technician (New Installations) to join its elevator and escalator team in Nagpur. You will be responsible for installing and commissioning new elevator systems in building projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Install new elevator systems, fitting electrical and mechanical components accurately.
• Follow engineering protocols and safety rules throughout the installation process.
• Conduct regular safety and performance checks on installed equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth integration.
• Manage on‑site schedules, resolve issues promptly and keep projects on track.
• Maintain clear communication of material availability and delivery status.
• Provide regular progress updates to supervisors and project managers.

Required profile

• ITI or Diploma qualification.
• Minimum two years of experience in elevator or escalator installation.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and adaptability on site.
• Effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Team‑oriented mindset and professional conduct.

Required skills

• Knowledge of elevator installation procedures.
• Familiarity with safety and engineering standards.
