Senior Data Engineer – Python & AI/ML Specialist

About the role

Bosch is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and build a robust, scalable data backbone that unifies data from multiple sources. The role blends deep data‑engineering expertise with AI/ML integration, enabling intelligent, context‑aware data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a centralized data platform integrating APIs, databases, files, and streaming systems.
• Develop and maintain Python‑based ETL/ELT pipelines using Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, and related libraries.
• Create and optimise data models, relational and NoSQL schemas, and feature stores for machine‑learning workloads.
• Build data dependency graphs and lineage tracking using DAG/orchestration tools.
• Integrate AI/ML pipelines (training, inference, feature engineering) and support LLM‑based retrieval‑augmented generation workflows.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data and ML pipelines.
• Document architecture, data flows, and AI integration points.

Required profile

• Strong background in data engineering with a focus on Python.
• Experience designing scalable data platforms and pipelines.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining data models for both relational and NoSQL stores.
• Hands‑on experience with ML frameworks and feature engineering.
