Senior Cloud Operations Engineer – Platform Support

About the role

As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer in the Cloud Operations Center, you will ensure 24x7/365 reliability of Saviynt’s Enterprise Identity Cloud. You will own the operational health of the platform, work closely with development and engineering teams, and provide expert application‑layer support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform deep pod‑level troubleshooting in AKS/EKS environments and resolve performance issues.
• Analyze and optimise application and database performance (Java, Grails, Hibernate, RDS, MySQL).
• Monitor SaaS applications and underlying infrastructure (Kubernetes on AWS/Azure, VPN, Elastic Search, MySQL) for alerts and incidents.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, lead escalations, and guide junior engineers.
• Manage the full lifecycle of alerts, incidents, and service requests via FreshService.
• Create and maintain runbooks, operational procedures and knowledge‑base articles.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce incident rates and improve SLA/KPI compliance.
• Collaborate with backend engineering to troubleshoot complex issues and implement preventative measures.
• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance with minimal service impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in cloud operations or application support, preferably with Java‑based applications.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, IP addressing, LDAP).
• Experience working in a 24x7 operational environment and handling on‑call duties.
