Senior Backend Engineer - Platform and API

About the role

We are looking for a senior backend engineer to lead the design and implementation of our multi‑cloud platform that powers secure AI‑agent deployments. The role is hands‑on and focuses on building the core infrastructure and APIs that enable customers to manage AI agents at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and APIs for onboarding, policy management, audit, environment inventory and platform operations.
• Create reliable REST and gRPC interfaces that drive the management layer of the secure AI‑agent platform.
• Own data models, service contracts, validation logic and service‑to‑service interactions for core workflows.
• Integrate with cloud services, identity systems and other platform components to support secure runtime environments.
• Enhance observability, error handling, test coverage, deployment safety and production support for backend services.
• Collaborate with frontend, security and infrastructure engineers to translate complex requirements into maintainable implementations.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Java or Python and ability to work across languages.
• Proven experience designing and building REST and gRPC APIs for production systems.
• Solid understanding of distributed‑system concerns such as retries, idempotency, failure handling, observability and release safety.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and secure backend integrations.
