Senior Accountant – Plant Finance

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead plant‑level accounting, financial reporting and regulatory compliance for our water treatment facility. The role combines day‑to‑day bookkeeping with strategic cost control and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger reviews and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and ensure accurate cost allocation for plant activities.
• Handle inventory accounting for raw materials, packaging and finished goods, monitoring stock movement, wastage and reconciliation with production.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, invoice processing and customer collections.
• Ensure statutory compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax and file related returns.
• Assist in statutory, internal and tax audits, maintaining proper documentation and audit trails.
• Produce MIS reports, variance analysis and financial dashboards for management insight.
• Coordinate with plant operations, procurement, finance teams and external auditors or consultants.

Required profile

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter (CA preferred but not mandatory).
• 4‑8 years of experience in manufacturing or plant accounting, preferably in water treatment or bottling.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS and general accounting principles.
• Experience in inventory accounting and cost control.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced plant environment.
