Senior Accountant

About the role

PayPal is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead accounting processes that ensure financial statements comply with local GAAP and support the company’s global regulatory obligations. You will be responsible for overseeing month‑end close, journal entries, and statutory reporting while collaborating with internal and external audit teams.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and manage accounting processes to produce financial statements in accordance with local GAAP.
• Monitor the monthly/quarterly closing cycle and post necessary journal adjustments.
• Prepare and file statutory reports required by regulators.
• Support external audits and contribute to the preparation of financial statements.
• Coordinate local and global regulatory compliance activities.
• Prepare annual reconciliations between local GAAP and IFRS.
• Drive process‑control rigor to enable quarterly financial certifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior‑level accountant.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with statutory reporting and audit coordination.
• Ability to manage month‑end close and journal entry processes.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
