Production Associate / Machine Operator – Transformer Insulation

About the role

Join Hitachi Energy as a Production Associate / Machine Operator, responsible for manufacturing transformer insulation using a variety of machining and molding processes. You will work on the shop floor to meet production targets while ensuring product quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily and weekly production targets and achieve them on time and with quality.
• Operate and set‑up machines for transformer insulation manufacturing.
• Analyze workflow, space requirements and equipment layout to improve efficiency.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures.
• Record and report production data, estimate future requirements and prepare process reports.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair services to keep equipment operational.
• Maintain product and process databases and ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience as a machine operator in transformer insulation or similar manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing methodologies and standards.
• Ability to work in a team, on shift, with great attention to detail.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Machine operation for transformer insulation.
• Production data reporting and analysis.
• Equipment maintenance coordination.
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Poka‑Yoke and lean manufacturing.
