Procurement Operations Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Operations Specialist (also referred to as a Sourcing Expert) will lead the tendering process for capital‑expenditure categories, ensuring Diageo purchases the right goods and services from the right suppliers at the right price. You will work closely with global and regional category procurement teams, STP system owners and suppliers to drive efficient, compliant sourcing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage the end‑to‑end e‑sourcing process, including RFI, RFP, RFQ and e‑auction events.
• Conduct post‑event analysis, select suppliers and support contract sign‑off where required.
• Provide advice to business stakeholders on appropriate sourcing channels and ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls.
• Deliver services in line with agreed KPIs, SLAs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with global STP leadership, Procurement, Finance and related functions to align sourcing strategies.
• Develop and contribute to strategic plans aimed at achieving target performance metrics.

Required profile

• Advanced experience in sourcing and contracting processes, preferably within a global procurement environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex tendering activities for capital‑expenditure categories.
• Strong understanding of Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) and Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) workflows.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
