Privacy and Data Protection Specialist

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Privacy and Data Protection Specialist to join its Global Business Solutions Center in Pune. The role supports Mastercard’s global privacy framework, ensuring data protection compliance across services agreements and vendor contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply a strong understanding of global privacy and data protection laws, including GDPR and CCPA, translating legal requirements into practical business solutions.
• Review, negotiate, and advise on data protection terms in services agreements and standalone data protection agreements with vendors and third parties.
• Collaborate with business units, product engineers, and privacy counsel to prepare, revise, and execute data protection agreements in line with approved policies and negotiation playbooks.
• Support transition processes from product privacy counsel or privacy SMEs, ensuring product requirements, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
