Officer 3 – US Taxation (Private Equity Partnerships)

About the role

IQ-EQ is seeking an experienced tax professional to join its Tax Services team as an Officer 3. The role focuses on U.S. partnership taxation for private equity funds, management companies, and general partners, providing both compliance and advisory support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review U.S. federal and state partnership tax returns (Form 1065) and related schedules (K‑1, K‑2/K‑3), as well as corporation returns (Form 1120).
• Develop tax workpapers using client‑provided financial data.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing for private equity funds, management companies, and GPs.
• Manage quarterly and annual tax estimates and extensions.
• Support tax planning strategies to maximize after‑tax returns for investors and partners.
• Stay current on U.S. tax regulations, IRS guidance, and legislative changes affecting private equity.
• Implement best practices for documentation and internal controls.
• Take ownership of personal development and seek additional support when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in U.S. partnership taxation, preferably within private equity.
• Strong knowledge of Subchapter K, partnership allocations, and related regulations.
• Familiarity with tax compliance software such as GoSystem.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and collaborate in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work U.S. shifts.
