About the role
The Office Fire & Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across office premises, parking areas and entry points. You will work closely with internal teams and external emergency services to ensure compliance with fire safety and security standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, parking lots and entry points to identify security and fire risks.
- Monitor security cameras, alarm systems and access‑control devices, responding promptly to any alerts.
- Maintain visitor logs, verify employee identification and manage access permissions.
- Ensure fire equipment is functional and emergency exits remain clear.
- Respond immediately to emergencies, security breaches or fire alarms, investigate suspicious behaviour and document incidents.
- Provide security briefings, conduct safety drills and deliver fire‑prevention training to staff.
- Liaise with law enforcement, fire services and other emergency responders as required.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot potential hazards.
- Excellent communication skills for briefing staff and coordinating with external agencies.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions during emergencies.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to incidents.
