Manager Environment & Safety

About the role

The Manager Environment & Safety will lead all health, safety, and environmental initiatives for a large manufacturing plant in Aurangabad. You will ensure compliance with legal regulations, drive safety culture, and manage risk across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a legal compliance matrix, coordinate statutory submissions and liaise with government agencies.
• Conduct risk assessments, manage permit‑to‑work systems, and ensure adequate training and monitoring of workers.
• Facilitate third‑party safety and electrical audits, review findings and drive corrective actions.
• Organise and track HSE training for employees, contractors and vendors, and develop internal subject‑matter experts.
• Participate in toolbox talks, provide appropriate PPE, and handle incident response and emergency planning.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech degree with NEBOSH certification and a Diploma in Industrial Safety.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in safety and environmental management, preferably in FMCG or large‑scale industry.
• Proven ability to work with statutory bodies and manage both on‑roll and contract workforce.
