Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of plant equipment through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and rapid fault diagnosis. Working with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, hydraulic and structural systems, the role supports production continuity and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of machinery, HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing and structural elements.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and adjust equipment according to planned programmes.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, job reports and calibration certificates.
• Assist with plant installation, commissioning and minor project works.
• Test and calibrate instruments and control systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, including LOLER and PAT regimes.
• Liaise with production teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and raise purchase requests.
• Supervise external contractors to meet company standards.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other plant systems.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
• EPA technician certification.
• Strong manual dexterity and methodical problem‑solving approach.
