Maintenance Officer

About the role

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of plant utilities and equipment through planned and unplanned maintenance activities. You will work on a shift basis, supporting the plant’s production continuity and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine, breakdown and preventive maintenance on all plant utilities, packaging machines, compressors, chillers, pumps, valves and rotary equipment.
• Inspect equipment physically to verify proper functioning and address any leakage or troubleshooting issues promptly.
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and enforce strict safety and SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) guidelines.
• Guide and train personnel on SHE systems, work permits, incident reporting and safety training.
• Ensure proper shift hand‑over, maintain accurate logbooks and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• ITI (Fitter/MMCP/Turner) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to apply Bunge’s business knowledge, develop innovative solutions and influence cross‑functional teams.
