Lead BizOps Engineer

About the role

Mastercard’s BizOps team is seeking a Lead BizOps Engineer to drive reliability and operational excellence for its Data Delivery and Analytics platforms, including products such as MyMPA and QMR. The role combines site reliability engineering with business operations to ensure services are designed, deployed, and operated at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and refine services throughout their lifecycle, from architecture to production.
• Analyze ITSM data, provide feedback to development teams, and address operational gaps.
• Support pre‑launch activities including system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
• Monitor live services for availability, latency, and health, and drive automation to improve reliability.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, validate releases, and champion DevOps best practices.
• Lead incident response, conduct blameless post‑mortems, and reduce mean time to recovery.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with experience in algorithms, data structures, and scripting.
• Excellent communication abilities and a sense of ownership.
• Proven experience debugging code, automating routine tasks, and working with diverse stakeholders.
