Junior Risk Analyst – Risk Measurement Team

About the role

Invesco’s Risk Measurement Team manages a global portfolio risk data platform (MSCI RiskMetrics) that delivers ex‑ante market risk measurement, stress‑testing and liquidity risk data to a wide range of stakeholders. As a Junior Risk Analyst you will support the APAC Risk Measurement team in building and maintaining an integrated risk‑measurement infrastructure that meets global monitoring needs.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the risk‑measurement platform, ensuring it adapts to regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Monitor, analyse and report market risk, liquidity risk and leverage across global funds.
• Provide high‑quality portfolio risk measurement, analysis and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global Risk Measurement teams and other investment‑risk functions to improve platform efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support stakeholders with quantitative and qualitative portfolio analysis, leveraging knowledge of local products, trading strategies and market characteristics.
• Develop an expert‑level understanding of market dynamics and their impact on portfolio risk.
• Ensure all activities align with Invesco’s Conduct principles.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of experience in market risk.
• Understanding of risk models and statistics such as VaR, volatility and tracking error.
• Basic familiarity with the MSCI RiskMetrics tool.
• Sound theoretical knowledge of financial instruments and derivative pricing.
• Working knowledge of at least one programming language (SQL, Python, etc.).
• Academic background: MBA, MS, B.Tech or equivalent.
• Professional certifications (CFA, FRM, CQF) are a plus.
