Java Backend Lead Engineer – Spring Boot & AWS

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is seeking an experienced Java Backend Lead Engineer to design and develop scalable backend solutions for automotive infotainment and safety platforms. You will work with Spring Boot, micro‑services architecture, and AWS cloud services while providing technical leadership to the development team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and micro‑services patterns.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS).
• Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring code quality and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of professional Java development experience.
• Proven experience with Spring Boot and micro‑services architecture.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS).
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and communication skills.
