Internal Auditor – Internal Control

About the role

The Internal Auditor – Internal Control will plan and execute financial, operational and information systems audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of UL Solutions' internal control processes. Working under general supervision, the auditor will identify control gaps, test transactions and provide high‑value recommendations to management.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audit programs to achieve audit objectives, coordinating activities and preparing documentation.
• Develop, review, edit and submit audit reports and work papers supporting audit conclusions.
• Collaborate with external auditors during external audit engagements.
• Plan and conduct complex audit assignments, including risk assessment support.
• Travel as needed (up to 15%) to perform on‑site audits.
• Identify issues through planning, testing and analysis and propose value‑adding improvements.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Required profile

• Public accounting experience with a Big‑4 or middle‑market firm.
• 5–8 years of overall audit experience, including at least 4 years in internal audit.
• Academic background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer‑centric mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in English.
• CPA, CIA or CISA certification is a plus.
