Head – Research and Professional Consultancy

About the role

The Global Institute of Business Studies (GIBS Business School) seeks a senior academic professional to lead its research and professional consultancy functions. The Head will shape the research culture, drive high‑impact publications, and bridge academia with industry through consultancy projects and collaborative initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen the institution’s research ecosystem, promoting interdisciplinary studies, case‑study development, and funded projects.
• Identify, apply for, and manage research grants, sponsored projects, and other funding opportunities.
• Organise national and international research conferences, faculty development programs, symposiums, workshops, and academic conclaves.
• Revive and manage the in‑house GIBS Business School Research Journal and Case Study Journal, overseeing editorial processes and publication standards.
• Develop and manage consultancy projects with corporates, government bodies, and other institutions, fostering industry collaborations.
• Teach management and allied subjects, conduct workshops, guest lectures, and mentor students on dissertations, internships, and research activities.

Required profile

• Proven academic track record with publications in reputed national and international journals.
• Extensive teaching experience in management or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience handling professional consultancy assignments with industry and institutions.
• Ability to guide faculty and students in research methodology, publication processes, and project development.
