Head of Facilities Management

About the role

As the Head of Facilities Management, you will ensure efficient and smooth restaurant operations across McDonald’s India. You will lead a dedicated team responsible for equipment uptime, utility optimization and the successful delivery of maintenance and renovation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the facilities team to achieve a 95% equipment uptime target across all McDonald’s locations in India.
• Develop and implement strategies to control planned Maintenance & Repair (M&R) costs.
• Oversee scheduling and execution of preventive maintenance for all restaurant equipment.
• Manage vendor relationships with equipment suppliers to ensure timely repairs and parts availability.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimise downtime and lost sales.
• Implement energy‑conservation initiatives and monitor utility consumption to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Ensure restaurants comply with environmental sustainability guidelines.
• Plan, coordinate and execute maintenance and renovation projects, maintaining budget, timeline and quality standards.
• Lead project teams composed of internal staff and external vendors, conduct regular reviews and post‑project inspections.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a facilities management team in a multi‑site restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Strong ability to collaborate with operations and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for equipment and utility challenges.
• Project management experience with a focus on budget and timeline adherence.
