General Accounting Reporting Analyst

About the role

ABB is looking for a General Accounting Reporting Analyst to join its Finance Services team. The role focuses on period‑close activities, balance‑sheet maintenance, and journal entry management while supporting global process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Handle selected accounting activities for period close, including balance‑sheet and manual journal entries.
• Review and approve journals, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Drive global process improvements by collaborating with the R2R core team on policy changes.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and remediation for any deficiencies.
• Execute quality checks on financial reporting data and monitor fluctuations.
• Assist with data gathering, entry, and basic financial analysis to maintain accurate financial statements.

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent.
• 3 to 7 years of operational experience in General Accounting.
• Proven team player with ability to train, coach, and guide colleagues.
• Expertise in end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report (R2R) processes, especially intra‑group activities.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
