Fraud Model Validation Manager

About the role

The Fraud Model Validation Manager will support the Consumer Client Protection organization by ensuring fraud detection models are robust, accurate, and continuously improving. This position works closely with vendors, internal model risk teams, technology groups, and business strategy partners.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with vendors and internal modeling partners to create comprehensive approval documentation for new fraud scores and algorithms, covering model design, testing, validation methodology, sampling, and performance metrics.
• Conduct periodic model validations on existing scores, evaluating precision, recall, rank ordering, PSI, and other relevant metrics to detect performance drift.
• Partner with strategy teams to communicate model performance trends, provide insights on deteriorating scores, and recommend adjustments to mitigate unexpected fraud losses.
• Maintain ongoing liaison with cross‑functional partners to ensure alignment on model governance and risk management practices.

Required profile

• Experience in fraud model development, validation, or risk management within a financial services environment.
• Proven ability to work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to document and assess model performance.
• Strong analytical mindset with focus on quantitative performance metrics.
