FP&A Operations Analyst

About the role

The FP&A Operations Analyst supports the finance team by delivering accurate financial planning, analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with project teams to ensure budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics are aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial plans.
• Perform monthly variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. forecast).
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and financial summaries.
• Analyze revenue, costs, margins, and profitability trends.
• Develop and maintain financial models in Excel and Power BI.
• Support monthly closing and management reporting.
• Provide financial insights to support business strategy.
• Evaluate new projects financially, prepare project budgets, and track costs.
• Conduct feasibility and profitability analyses.
• Monitor project cash flow and assist in cash‑flow projections.

Required profile

• CA or CMA qualification.
• 1–5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, project finance, or corporate finance.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modeling.
• Power BI (or Tableau) for dashboard creation.
• ERP experience, preferably SAP.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Cash‑flow projection and project cost tracking.
