Floor Engineer – Steel Structures Supervision

About the role

The Floor Engineer will lead the supervision of steel fabrication and erection activities on construction sites, ensuring that heavy steel structures such as bridges, gantries and pre‑engineered building (PEB) sheds are installed accurately and safely according to approved drawings and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the fabrication and on‑site erection of heavy steel structures.
• Verify that steel bridges, gantries and PEB sheds are installed as per approved drawings.
• Coordinate with design, fabrication and project teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor site progress, manpower deployment and material consumption.
• Enforce quality control and safety compliance throughout erection work.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports to management.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in steel fabrication and erection of heavy structures.
• Local candidates preferred from North Bengal.

Required skills

• Proficiency in technical drawing.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of steel structures design and erection.
