Executive Transport Operations – Rail & Inland Terminals

About the role

The Executive – Transport Operations will lead driver management, vehicle maintenance planning, and safety training for rail and inland terminal activities at our Powarkheda site. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure high equipment uptime and cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure proper maintenance of trailers and vehicles, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Maintain up‑to‑date vehicle documentation (fitness, pollution, road tax, insurance) and manage claim settlements with insurers.
• Respond quickly to en‑route breakdowns, conduct physical checks, and guarantee 100% compliance with operational KPIs.
• Select, deploy, and monitor drivers, verifying licences, experience, attendance, and expense reports.
• Oversee driver safety training, ensuring each driver receives at least one session per year.
• Monitor consumables (tyres, batteries, AdBlue), negotiate purchases, and manage spare‑part replacement under AMC or warranty.
• Maintain records of vendor vehicles and ensure timely renewals of all statutory documents.

Required profile

• Graduate degree with minimum 5 years of experience in transport or logistics operations.
• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
