About the role
The Events Executive is responsible for managing on‑site details of group events at JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru, ensuring seamless execution from planning to completion.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and follow event checklists and itineraries, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Act as the primary liaison with clients, vendors, meeting planners and other stakeholders.
- Design, confirm and communicate room layouts and set‑up requirements for special events.
- Maintain event records, reservations and related documentation using computer databases.
- Prepare weekly departmental payroll paperwork and operate standard office equipment.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security and company policies, and complete required certifications.
- Welcome guests, address service needs and uphold professional appearance standards.
- Handle telephone inquiries with appropriate etiquette and produce accurate written communications.
- Support team goals, maintain quality standards and perform light physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lb).
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Less than 1 year of related work experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lb.
- No specific license or certification required.
