Engineering Store Officer

About the role

The Engineering Store Officer supports the maintenance function by ensuring that all engineering materials and critical spares are stored, tracked and issued efficiently. The role is responsible for material receipt, quality inspection, inventory control and timely procurement to keep projects running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Receive materials, perform quality inspection and create Goods Receipt Note (GRN) in SAP.
• Maintain accurate material issue records in SAP and manage critical spares inventory.
• Control engineering store stock levels, generate scrap entries and handle purchase requisitions.
• Coordinate M&R (maintenance & repair) activities and arrange new project materials on schedule.
• Ensure proper placement of materials and oversee scrap generation in SAP.
• Collaborate with contractors and sub‑contractors for material handling.

Required profile

• Diploma, Graduate or Post‑graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E).
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in engineering store or inventory management.
• Officer Grade III (maintenance function) or equivalent.
