Controller / Manager – NetSuite (Hyderabad)

About the role

The Controller will lead end‑to‑end accounting activities for an operational consulting business, ensuring accurate financial tracking, timely invoicing and reliable reporting. The role works closely with operations and consulting teams and reports to the US‑based CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and perform bank reconciliations.
• Post journal entries, accruals, provisions and adjustments during period‑end closing.
• Prepare client invoices for time‑material, milestone or utilization‑based projects and validate billable hours.
• Track receivables, follow up on outstanding payments and produce ageing reports.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closes and produce MIS, profitability and variance analysis.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance tracking.
• Process vendor invoices, consultant payments, employee reimbursements and payroll.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure statutory, tax and regulatory compliance.
• Support ERP implementation or migration, preferably NetSuite, and identify process improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in services or project‑based consulting.
• B.Com, M.Com or MBA in Finance (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, invoicing, receivables and reconciliations.
• Mandatory experience with payroll processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to interact with US‑based CFO and internal stakeholders.
• High ownership, attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
