Commis – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Commis to join the culinary team at Raffles Udaipur. In this entry‑level position you will support kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and high standards of cleanliness and food safety. The role offers a great opportunity to develop culinary skills in a world‑class hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, verify and organize dishware before and after service shifts.
• Hand‑wash specialized kitchen items and equipment with precision.
• Restock dishware and supplies across various kitchen stations.
• Maintain and clean dishwashing equipment, manage soaking, sorting and organizing utensils during service.
• Store and organize dishware and kitchen equipment efficiently.
• Clean kitchen facilities, dining areas and exterior spaces.
• Maintain kitchen appliances such as microwaves, fryers and other equipment.
• Sort, empty and clean waste containers following proper disposal protocols.
• Prepare food items, including cooking, thawing and weighing ingredients.
• Wash, prepare and sanitize fruits and vegetables according to food safety standards.
• Set up workstations with necessary tools and ingredients.
• Plate dishes according to recipe specifications and chef directives.
• Adapt work pace based on service volume, special events and customer needs.
• Support and mentor new team members in assigned areas.
