About the role
Join Accor’s culinary team in Mysuru as a Commis II specializing in South Indian cuisine. Working under senior chefs, you will help prepare authentic dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen organization.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook South Indian dishes following established recipes and culinary standards.
- Perform precise knife work and other food‑preparation tasks with consistency.
- Maintain a well‑organized station, ensuring all tools and ingredients are ready (mise en place).
- Follow food safety, sanitation and hygiene protocols to keep the kitchen clean.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
- Assist senior chefs with recipe development and ingredient quality checks.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to meet quality standards.
- Support inventory management by reporting ingredient usage.
Required profile
- 1‑2 years experience in a junior kitchen role (Commis I or similar).
- Demonstrated knowledge of South Indian cooking techniques and traditional recipes.
- Strong ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good communication skills and willingness to receive feedback.
