Collections Manager

About the role

The Collections Manager will lead the end‑to‑end collections process for Nielsen’s US and international markets within the Global Capability Center. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on leadership to drive timely debt recovery, improve collection rates, and reduce delinquency across a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a multilingual team of collections specialists, providing daily guidance and performance feedback.
• Align team objectives through regular meetings, KPI reviews, and collaborative problem solving.
• Allocate resources dynamically to meet collection targets and deadlines.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance negotiation techniques and collections knowledge.
• Oversee daily US collections operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regional regulations.
• Develop and implement innovative collection strategies to accelerate cash flow and reduce delinquency.
• Act as escalation point for complex customer inquiries and payment disputes.
• Identify process bottlenecks, propose improvements, and apply global best practices.
• Monitor collection metrics (DSO, aging buckets) and prepare reports for senior management.
• Leverage advanced ERP platforms for account management and data‑driven decision making.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in international collections and debt recovery.
• Hands‑on experience managing large‑scale ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English and relevant additional languages.
