Associate SOC Cyber Security Analyst – Advisory

About the role

PWC is looking for an Associate to join its Cloud Cyber Security team, focusing on Security Operations Centre (SOC) activities. You will work on Microsoft Sentinel and Defender platforms, handling 24/7 security alerts, incident triage and response for cloud‑based environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage security alerts using SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel) and SOAR (Microsoft Defender) tools.
• Perform incident triage, investigation and response in a 24 × 7 SOC environment.
• Develop, maintain and fine‑tune playbooks and use‑case configurations.
• Prepare root‑cause analysis (RCA) documents and regular reporting (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Identify potential threats and recommend enhancements to existing security measures.
• Collaborate with cloud teams on Azure infrastructure and O365 security configurations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in security operations.
• Graduation or equivalent academic qualification.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender and Azure security services.

Required skills

• SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management) expertise.
• SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response) proficiency.
• Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender Suite.
• Incident triage and investigation.
• Root‑cause analysis documentation.
• Playbook creation and use‑case fine‑tuning.
• Knowledge of Azure infrastructure and Office 365 security.
• EDR and phishing analysis capabilities.
