Associate Legal Counsel – AI & IP Team

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Legal Counsel to join our Legal‑AI / IP team. You will work closely with technology and business units to ensure that our AI‑driven products and services comply with legal and intellectual‑property standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and negotiate technical and legal aspects of service and product agreements, aligning them with company‑approved AI and IP positions.
• Identify risks, advise technology teams, and negotiate with clients, vendors, and partners.
• Support contract review for AI‑based and AI‑enabled offerings, translating technical requirements into enforceable legal documents.
• Conduct legal research on emerging technologies and global AI regulations, updating internal guidance as needed.
• Advise on online and digital legal matters such as intermediary liability, web crawling, brand protection, jurisdictional risks, domain disputes, phishing, and IP enforcement.
• Analyze AI and IP‑related legal risks in commercial engagements and product development, providing practical mitigation recommendations.
• Help develop internal training and awareness materials on AI compliance and intellectual property.

Required profile

• LLB degree with 1‑3 years of corporate legal experience.
• Technical background, preferably in electronics or software.
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Required skills

• Understanding of AI technology and software development lifecycle.
• Clear knowledge of IP concepts, including patents, copyright, and trade secrets.
• Familiarity with open‑source license compliance processes.
• Electronic/software technical background.
