Assistant Research Scientist I

About the role

The Assistant Research Scientist I will join the Crop Protection R&D team at our Innovation Campus in Navi Mumbai. This entry‑level position focuses on physicochemical analysis of new compounds, ensuring data quality and laboratory safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform LogP, thermodynamic water solubility, hydrolytic stability (at three pH levels), photolytic and photohydrolytic stability tests.
• Operate and maintain UPLC, HPLC, photo‑chamber and pH meter equipment.
• Prepare and follow SOPs for chromatographic and physicochemical methods.
• Report near‑miss incidents and unsafe behaviours, participate in lab safety rounds, and conduct weekly checks of safety showers and eye‑wash stations.
• Support quality‑control activities and data analysis for research projects.

Required profile

• MSc in Chemistry or related discipline.
• Strong foundation in analytical, organic, inorganic and physical chemistry.
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques, data analysis, and quality‑control procedures.
• Commitment to chemical safety, PPE use and zero‑incident work environment.
