Assistant Manager – Credit Controller (Finance)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Credit Controller will oversee credit exposure, collections, and revenue risk for broadband enterprise customers. The role ensures timely revenue realization while minimizing bad debts across B2B, B2C, bulk bandwidth, and enterprise segments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer‑wise outstanding ageing and follow up overdue payments via calls and emails.
• Coordinate with sales and business teams to track collections and escalate long‑pending cases.
• Assess creditworthiness of new customers, allocate credit limits, and recommend holds for high‑risk accounts.
• Perform reconciliations between billing, collection, CRM, ERP/SAP and customer wallets, identifying leaks or duplicate adjustments.
• Review and validate credit notes, debit notes, waivers, adjustments and refund requests with proper approvals.
• Prepare daily collection reports, ageing reports, bad‑debt analysis and present risks to management.
• Support legal escalation and recovery actions for default cases.

Required profile

• B.Com, M.Com, CA or MBA in Finance (preferred).
• 3‑8 years of experience in credit control, collections or accounts receivable, preferably in broadband/telecom.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Telecom/broadband billing systems.
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, MIS preparation).
• ERP/SAP/CRM systems knowledge.
