About the role
The Assistant Manager – Claims will lead the claims function for health, personal accident and travel products in Thane. The role focuses on ensuring timely, accurate adjudication of indemnity and fixed benefit claims while maintaining high quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee end‑to‑end claims processing, including cashless and reimbursement workflows.
- Maintain and improve turnaround times (TAT) and accuracy metrics for claim decisions.
- Develop and enforce uniform standards, protocols and quality guidelines for the claims team.
- Audit claim decisions to ensure compliance with internal policies and third‑party administrator (TPA) limits.
- Manage expectations of internal stakeholders and specialized business units regarding claim handling timelines.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of indemnity (cashless, reimbursement) and fixed benefit claim processes.
- Experience with health, personal accident and travel insurance products.
- Proven ability to measure and improve performance metrics such as TAT and adjudication accuracy.
- Leadership experience in managing a claims team and driving uniform decision‑making.
Required skills
- Understanding of claims processing systems and related data fields.
