Area Finance Controller

About the role

The Area Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards. This role combines cost and budget accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and billing functions while providing technical expertise across the area.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day financial operations, including cost allocation, variance analysis, and budget monitoring.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and invoicing processes.
• Apply in‑depth accounting knowledge to solve routine business issues and support strategic decisions.
• Coach and mentor less experienced staff and provide informal supervision as needed.
• Influence long‑term tactical decisions by acting as a subject‑matter expert.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance or accounting functions with a strong grasp of relevant standards.
• Ability to work independently on most tasks, seeking guidance only for complex or non‑routine matters.
• Understanding of business interdependencies and the overall operational landscape.
• Proven capability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
