APAC Procurement Manager, Contingent Labor

About the role

The APAC Procurement Manager, Contingent Labor will design, implement and optimise the organisation's contingent workforce programme across India and key APAC markets such as Australia, Japan, China and Singapore. You will lead the first‑generation Managed Service Provider (MSP) model, ensuring compliance, cost‑effectiveness and seamless delivery of temporary labour, contractors and service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end implementation of an MSP solution for contingent labour in India and other APAC countries.
• Partner with global procurement, HR, legal and IT teams to transition from existing staffing arrangements to the MSP model.
• Develop negotiation strategies, saving levers and performance metrics for new vendors.
• Manage sourcing, negotiation and contracting while ensuring supplier diversity, compliance with labour laws and ethical procurement practices.
• Drive cost optimisation through rate benchmarking, demand management and market intelligence.
• Implement governance structures for vendor and worker classification and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Act as primary vendor contact, align contingent labour strategy with business goals and provide executive reporting.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities, benchmark against best‑in‑class programmes and lead quarterly business reviews with strategic vendors.

Required profile

• 7‑15 years of procurement or vendor‑management experience, with at least 3‑5 years focused on contingent labour or workforce solutions.
• Proven track record managing an MSP programme in India or across APAC.
• Strong knowledge of Indian labour regulations, tax laws and corporate compliance.
• Experience collaborating with HR, finance and business leaders to align workforce strategies.
