AI Senior Member of Technical Staff – Core AI Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AI Senior Member of Technical Staff to join AVEVA’s Core AI Services team in Bangalore. In this role you will design, develop and scale cloud‑native AI platform services and public APIs that enable AI adoption across our product portfolio and partner ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Build scalable, fault‑tolerant services on Microsoft Azure, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Develop secure, well‑documented public APIs and SDKs for internal and external developers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions spanning data pipelines, orchestration, and service APIs.
• Embed robust security controls to protect sensitive data and manage authentication/authorization.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews and architectural discussions to uphold engineering excellence.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Work on AI model deployment, training, and tooling, including LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML systems or platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS services such as Azure Functions, AKS and API Management.
• Strong expertise in designing, versioning, testing and managing the lifecycle of RESTful APIs.
• Deep understanding of AI standards (MCP, A2A) and responsible AI practices (NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act).
