Accounting Manager – UK Accounting (NetSuite)

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the end‑to‑end accounting function for UK operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance and efficient processes. This full‑time, on‑site role is based in Ahmedabad and reports to senior finance leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and month‑/year‑end close.
• Utilise NetSuite for transaction processing, reporting and automation.
• Lead, train and mentor the accounting team to meet accuracy and timeliness targets.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies aligned with GAAP/IFRS and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Audit and Tax teams for seamless operations.
• Analyse financial data to identify cost‑saving opportunities and risks.
• Oversee external audits and ensure full compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CA/CPA/CMA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations and financial audits.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail.

Required skills

• NetSuite accounting software (mandatory).
• Advanced Excel skills – PivotTables, VLOOKUP.
• ERP familiarity.
• GAAP and IFRS compliance expertise.
