3D Printer Operator & Prototyping Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled, detail‑oriented 3D Printer Operator to take full ownership of our rapid prototyping and pattern‑making lab. You will be a key contributor to the product development lifecycle, turning digital designs into master patterns for our casting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain a suite of industrial 3D printers (FDM and SLA/Resin) on a daily basis.
• Prepare files for printing, including slicing, optimizing orientation, generating support structures, and selecting appropriate infill settings.
• Execute post‑processing tasks such as support removal, washing, curing, sanding, and surface preparation of master patterns.
• Manage inventory of printing consumables (filaments, resins, spare parts) and troubleshoot hardware issues under tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience operating industrial or professional‑grade 3D printers.
• Expertise in slicing software and basic familiarity with common 3D model file formats.
• Exceptional patience, attention to detail, and a proactive problem‑solving attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with slicing software such as Cura, Chitubox, and PreForm.
• Knowledge of 3D model file formats: STL, STEP, OBJ.
• Experience with FDM and SLA/Resin 3D printing technologies.
